Directions to Sparta Marquard

Travel down the N1 in a southerly direction (towards Bloemfontein).
Kroonstad - ± 195km from Johannesburg.
Ventersburg - ± 48km from Kroonstad.
As you are about to enter Ventersburg, turn off towards Senekal on the R70 (South East).
Senekal - ± 53km from Ventersburg.
Do Not go into Senekal, drive until you cross the N5 (Senekal to Winburg). There the R70 becomes the R707 - Marquard. Cross over the N5 onto the R707 – Marquard until you get to the “Sparta” sign post on your left.
The “Sparta” sign post is ± 30km on the R707 – Marquard after the turnoff from the N5.
Turn left off the R707 onto a gravel road sign posted “Sparta”. This road immediately veers off to the right.
Travel past a polo field (left) and over a railway line. After another few hundred meters, turn left into Sparta.
Ask for specific directions at the Security Gate.
Total distance on gravel road - ± 3km.

Travel on the N3 to Harrismith in a north-easterly direction (towards Johannesburg).
Harrismith - ± 295 km from Durban.
At Harrismith, turn off onto the N5 via Kestell, Bethlehem and Paul Roux to Senekal.
Harrismith to Kestell - ± 23 km (bypass turn).
Kestell to Bethlehem - ± 48 km (go through town).
Bethlehem to Paul Roux - ± 38 km (bypass town).
Paul Roux to Senekal - ± 30 km (go through town).
Travel through Senekal, still on the N5. Immediately after the town limit, there is a cross road. Turn left onto the R707 – Marquard until you get to the “Sparta” sign post on your left.
The “Sparta” sign post is ± 30km on the R707 – Marquard after the turnoff from the N5.
Turn left off the R707 onto a gravel road sign posted “Sparta”. This road immediately veers off to the right.

Travel on the N1 to Winburg in a northerly direction (towards Johannesburg).
Winburg - ± 110km. from Bloemfontein.
Drive on the N1 with Winburg on your right.
Turn off and go right over the N1 in an easterly direction to Senekal (this is the main road to Durban).
Travel the N5 for approximately 10km. and turn right onto the R708 – Marquard.
Marquard - ± 42km. from the turnoff.
Just before you get to the town of Marquard, turn left onto the R707 – Senekal.
Travel on the R707 – Senekal and turn right onto a gravel road which is sign posted “Sparta”.
Sparta sign post - ± 15km. after turning onto the R707 – Senekal.
The gravel road immediately veers off to the right.
Travel past a polo field (left) and over a railway line. After another few hundred meters, turn left into Sparta.

Total distance on gravel road - ± 3km.

Get onto the N1 South and go toward Bloemfontein.
Stay on the N1 South till you reach Kroonstad.
Stay on the N1 pass Kroonstad and turn right on the R34 towards Welkom.
Go straight into R710 and keep straight until you get the first robot.
Keep straight until you get second robot , you will see the Power Road sign on your left.
Before you reach the robot take the slipway left into Power Road.
Stay in Power Road until first circle.
Keep straight over bridge pass taxi rank until second circle.
Keep straight in Power Road just after a natural right turn you will see the Sparta sign and the bull.

Go into N3 freeway west towards Mariannhill truckstop.
Keep on the N3 pass Howick.
Keep on the N3 pass Mooiriver.
Keep on the N3 paas Estcourt.
Keep straight to Harrismith then turn onto N5 towards Kestell.
Keep on N5 pass Kestell towards Bethlehem.
In Bethlehem turn left into Eeufees st an keep straight on N5.
Keep on N5 pass Paul Roux.
Keep on N5 towards Senekal.
Pass Senekal and turn right onto the R70.
Keep on the R70 to Ventersburg.
Pass Senekal and keep straight on the R70.
Keep on the R70 to Henneman.
Pass Henneman and keep on the R70 towards Riebeeckstad.
Pass Riebeeckstad at the crossing turn left onto the R710 towards Welkom.
Pass first robot and just before the second robot turn left in the slipway into Power Road.
Keep straight till first circle.
Keep straight over railway bridge and past taxi rank.
Keep straight at second circle , road make a natural turn to the right.
Just after the turn you will notice the Sparta sign and bull on the right.
