Sparta Beef’s Philly cheese steak quesadillas

Ingredients

  • 500g Sparta fillet strips
  • 1 x cup mushrooms
  • 1 x large onion
  • 1 cup red peppers
  • 1 cup green peppers
  • Sliced mozzarella cheese
  • Sliced jalapeno's
  • Maldon salt
  • ½ cup water
  • Garlic, black pepper and salt
  • Mayo
  • Fresh coriander to garnish

    Preparation

    1. Heat olive oil in a pan
    2. Braai the strips
    3. Season with salt and pepper
    4. Once brown, remove beef from the heat
    5. In the same pan, brown onions, green and red peppers as well as the garlic
    6. Add mushrooms
    7. Heat up a second pan and brown the tortilla
    8. Spread a thin layer of mayo onto half of the tortilla
    9. Add slices of cheese
    10. Add steak filling on top
    11. Add jalapenos
    12. Fold tortilla in half and allow the cheese to melt
    13. Fold the tortilla in half again and garnish with fresh coriander
