Sparta Rump Roast (Kettle braai cooking)

  • Pre-seasoned with coarse salt, crushed black pepper and dried bell peppers.


    1. Make a large "two-sided" fire and place in a dripping tray between the two stacks of charcoal.
    2. While the fire is still hot (coals should be white), remove the meat from the packaging, place the meat in the centre of the rack, above the dripping tray.
    3. Open top and bottom vents.
    4. Place the lid on the kettle braai.
    5. Roast for 20-30 minutes per 500g of meat.
